GKM Pre-Service Routine

This follows the steps outlined in the Copy of ProPresenter Guide.pdf.

Preparing Playlist via Planning Center

1. Add PCO Service: In ProPresenter, click the + button next to ‘Library’ in the top-left panel. Select “Planning Center Service…”.
2. Login & Select: Log in with your Planning Center credentials. Select the correct date for the service and click OK. DOUBLE CHECK THE DATE.
3. Import Options: When prompted about existing items, check “Apply to all” and click “Use Existing”. This prevents duplicate imports.
4. Verify Playlist: The playlist for the selected service should now appear in the left panel under Playlists. Check that all expected items (songs, sermon placeholder, etc.) are present.

Downloading & Importing Sermon Message

(Based on GKM Guide PDF structure) *

1. Download: Sermon notes/slides are typically provided separately (e.g., downloaded from a shared drive or email). Ensure you have the correct file downloaded.
2. Import: Drag the sermon file (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote, or folder of images) directly onto the ProPresenter playlist where it should go. Alternatively, use File > Import.
3. Verify: Click through the imported sermon slides to ensure they imported correctly.

Creating Song Arrangements

(Based on GKM Guide PDF structure & PCO Link) *

1. Select Song: Click on a song in the playlist.
2. Arrangements Button: Click the “Arrangement” button (looks like grouped blocks) in the presentation header bar.
3. Manage Arrangements: A dropdown appears. You can select existing arrangements or create new ones.
4. Master Layout: Ensure the “Master” layout contains all the song sections (Verse 1, Chorus, Bridge, etc.) in the correct order.
5. Create New Arrangement: Click the gear icon > New Arrangement. Name it appropriately (e.g., “Sunday AM”).
6. Drag & Drop: Drag the required song sections from the left (“Available Groups”) to the right panel in the desired order for the service. Remove unused sections by clicking the ‘x’.
7. Save: The arrangement saves automatically. Select it from the Arrangements dropdown to use it.
8. PCO Sequence Conversion: ProPresenter can often automatically convert Planning Center sequences into arrangements during import. Verify the arrangement matches the PCO plan.
