Core Operations

Showing Presentations

• Select Playlist Item: Click the desired presentation (song, sermon) in the playlist (left panel).
• Click Slide: Click the first slide (or any slide) in the center panel to make it live.
• Advance Slides:
  • Click the next slide with the mouse.
  • Press the Spacebar key.
  • Press the Right Arrow key.
  • Use a connected remote clicker.
• Go Back: Press the Left Arrow key.
• Clear Layers: Use the ‘Clear’ buttons in the main toolbar to remove content (e.g., Clear All, Clear Background).

Using Search

• Access: Click the Search icon in the toolbar or use Command+F (Mac) / Ctrl+F (PC).
• Search Libraries: Type keywords to find existing presentations in your libraries.
• Search SongSelect/Multitracks: If logged in (Preferences > Services), you can search these databases directly to import new songs.
  • Select the desired song.
  • Click ‘Import’. Configure options like theme, size, chords, etc..
  • Choose the library to save to and optionally add directly to the current playlist.
• GKM Tip: When searching, instead of typing the full name, click the magnifying glass icon on the playlist item itself to quickly search for that specific item in the library.

Using Bibles

• Access: Click the ‘Bible’ button in the main toolbar.

• Lookup: Enter the scripture reference (e.g., “John 3:16”, “Gen 1:1-5”) in the search bar. Abbreviations often work (e.g., “Jhn”, “Gen”).

• Select Translation: Choose the desired Bible translation from the dropdown. (GKM preferred versions should be noted here if applicable).

• Theme: Select a theme suitable for scripture display.

• Options: Configure settings like showing verse numbers, breaking on new verses, reference display, etc..

• Show/Save:

  • Click a verse to show it immediately.
  • Click ‘Save As’ to create a new presentation from the passage or ‘Copy to Selected Presentation’ to add verses to the currently open item (like sermon notes).

• Multi-Translation: You can configure themes to show two translations simultaneously by assigning different text boxes in the theme editor to different Bible versions.

• Adding Bibles: Go to Bible > Bibles (or Preferences > Bibles) to install free Bibles or purchase new ones.

Easy View

• Purpose: Makes slide text easier for the operator to read, especially with complex backgrounds or small fonts, without changing the main output.
• Toggle:
  • Click the ‘T’ icon at the bottom of the center presentation view panel.
  • Hold down the Tilde (~) key: Temporarily activates Easy View while held down. This is often the quickest way.
• Functionality: Shows text clearly, sometimes abbreviated but showing start/end for context. You can still click slides or use keyboard navigation while Easy View is active.
