Troubleshooting & Tips

(Based on GKM Guide PDF structure) *

New Playlist: Click the + button next to ‘Playlists’ (bottom-left) and choose “New Playlist”. Name it appropriately (e.g., “Sunday Service - Manual”).
Search & Add: Use the Search function (Cmd+F / Ctrl+F) to find each required song, announcement loop, sermon placeholder, etc., in the Library.
Drag: Drag each item from the search results into your newly created manual playlist in the correct order.
Import Sermon: Manually import the sermon file as described earlier.
Arrangements: Check and set the correct song arrangements for each song.

Sometimes, lyric formatting issues originate in Planning Center Online (PCO). Before spending too much time reformatting in ProPresenter’s Reflow editor, it can be helpful to check the “Lyrics” tab within the song arrangement in PCO itself. Correcting formatting there might fix the issue upon the next PCO import into ProPresenter.

Run Through: Always do a run-through of the playlist before the event starts.
Note Issues: Keep paper nearby during the run-through to jot down any mistakes, typos, or timing issues.
Confirm Changes: Before making significant edits (especially deleting things), check with the organizational leader. Changes save automatically, and edits might affect future use or might not be desired.
Easy View (~ key): Use the tilde key for quick checks of slide text.
Search Shortcut (Cmd+F / Ctrl+F): Much faster than clicking the button.
Keyboard Navigation: Spacebar/Arrows are often quicker than mouse clicking for advancing slides.
GKM UI Tip: You can adjust the text size of the ProPresenter interface itself via the ‘Text’ button in the main toolbar if you find it hard to read.
GKM Search Tip: Remember clicking the magnifying glass on a playlist item searches for that item.
GKM Bible Tip: Use abbreviations for Bible books (e.g., “Mat” for Matthew, “Psa” for Psalms).
