Setup Checklist
Recording at Home Guide
Section titled “Recording at Home Guide”Before you record anything, look through this guide to ensure you’re on the right track.
Your Camera
Section titled “Your Camera”- Make sure your camera or phone is on a stable surface.
- Using the rear-facing camera.
- Make sure your camera is set to 1080p or 4K.
- Make sure the camera isn’t pointing up at you or down at you.
- Record horizontally with the rear-facing camera.
- You can record vertically with the front-facing camera (like a selfie) if needed.
- Ensure your face is centred in the frame. Don’t cut off your head!
Your Background
Section titled “Your Background”- Record in a well-lit area against a solid, plain background
- Avoid blinds, curtains, decor or paintings/photos.
- Make sure the space you’re recording in is quiet.
Your Clothing
Section titled “Your Clothing”- Wear solid colours that contrast with your background.
- Avoid patterns or prints.
- Neutral colours are always best.
- Please ensure there’s minimal background noise (cars, equipment or music) so we can hear what you have to say.
- Avoid moving around with your device so it doesn’t pick up any unnecessary noise.
Final Notes
Section titled “Final Notes”- Please don’t alter, edit or compress the video in any way.
- We should only hear your voice on the recording, no music.
